Wireless Communication Network Setup
The battery powered converters can utilize a base station-based wireless communication network system. A communication base station is established in the regional center, with a coverage radius of 1000 meters. Each electromagnetic converter communicates with the base station via short-range communication (SRD mode), using the 928 MHz open frequency band (US standard). The base station communicates with the management computer via a GPRS or CDMA cellular network.
Alternatively, the battery powered converters can also communicate directly with the management computer via a GPRS or CDMA cellular network (see the communication manual for details on GPRS communication).
