Differential Pressure Transmitter is a high-precision intelligent on-site differential pressure detection instrument. It is used to measure the parameters of differential pressure, pressure and liquid level of various media in the state of liquid, gas and steam. And convert the measured differential pressure parameters into 4-20mA standard electrical signal output. At the same time, it adopts the HART protocol and has the function of communicating with the handheld device or the host computer. The differential pressure/high static pressure differential pressure transmitter is a pressure signal measured with the low pressure side as the reference end, and has two ports connected to the process pipeline.

The working principle of metal capacitive differential pressure/high static pressure differential pressure transmitter is:

When the pressure acts indirectly on the surface of the metal measuring diaphragm (elastic measuring element) of different thickness through the isolation diaphragm and the pressure guide medium. Make the diaphragm slightly deformed. The maximum deformation does not exceed 0.1mm. A high-precision measurement circuit converts this tiny deformation into a voltage signal that is linear with the differential pressure signal. After linearization and temperature compensation, a dedicated chip is used to convert this voltage signal into an industry standard 4-20mA current signal or 1-5V voltage signal.

High-precision integrated circuits adopted by the high sensitivity of the metal capacitive pressure sensor and the measuring diaphragm detection circuit. It contains linearity and temperature compensation circuit inside. So the whole transmitter can achieve high precision and high stability.

The metal capacitive pressure sensor has extremely high anti-overload performance and excellent performance in micro-pressure measurement. It is also a must-have product for various complex industrial environments.

If we classify our capacitive differential pressure transmitters, there are mainly the following four types:

If classified from different working principles. There are many types of differential pressure transmitters. A differential pressure flowmeter has a primary element and a secondary element. Base elements are usually designed to create a pressure differential as flow increases. There are many types of basic elements, the most common being orifice plates, venturis, orifices and pitot tubes.

The secondary element of a differential pressure flowmeter is the differential pressure transmitter, whose role is to measure the differential pressure produced by the primary element as accurately as possible. Of particular importance is that differential pressure measurements are not affected by changes in fluid pressure, temperature, or other characteristics such as ambient temperature. A good differential pressure transmitter is capable of accurately measuring differential pressure independently of other changing parameters and reliably transmitting a signal to represent the differential pressure.

  1. Measure liquid level

The differential pressure level transmitter is measured by the principle that the pressure difference between the upper and lower flanges = the pressure generated by the liquid.

It is mainly used for liquid level measurement of closed pressure vessels.

Because the gas phase pressure in the container has an influence on the static pressure. Therefore, only the differential pressure transmitter can be used to measure the differential pressure value between the gas and liquid phases to know the liquid level.

If the container under test is open, the gas phase pressure is atmospheric pressure. Then the negative pressure chamber of the differential pressure gauge can be ventilated to the atmosphere. At this time, the pressure transmitter can also be used to directly measure the level of the fish liquid.

  1. Density measurement

Using a differential pressure transmitter to measure density is based on the theoretical formula △P=pgh, and p=△P/gh.

That is, the static pressure of a liquid column at a certain height is proportional to the density of the liquid.
By measuring static pressure, the purpose of measuring density is achieved.

It is widely used in petrochemical catalytic cracking units, and it is equipped with a backflushing system to measure the catalyst density.
