Clamp on Doppler Flow Meter

Clamp on doppler flow meter can measure the flow rate of liquids, slurries and other media containing certain solid impurities and bubbles in closed pipes. The sensor tube is installed outside and does not come into contact with the fluid. Therefore, it is not affected by pipeline dirt and blockage. What is the difference between ultrasonic and Doppler flow meter?

Traditional Ultrasonic Flowmeter

Working principle:
Traditional ultrasonic flowmeters use the Time of Flight principle. It calculates flow velocity and flow rate by emitting ultrasonic waves in the fluid and measuring the time it takes for the ultrasonic waves to travel through the fluid.

Measurement methods:
Traditional ultrasonic flow meters are usually divided into two types: single channel and dual channel. Single-channel ultrasonic flow meters measure through an ultrasonic sensor and are suitable for smaller flow ranges. Dual-channel ultrasonic flowmeter uses multiple ultrasonic sensors to achieve a wider range of flow measurement.

Features:
Traditional ultrasonic flow meters are non-invasive, highly accurate, and require no maintenance.
However, in liquid flows, traditional ultrasonic flow meters are sensitive to the presence of air bubbles and particulate matter. May affect the accuracy of measurement results.

Ultrasonic Doppler Flow Meter

Working principle:
Doppler ultrasonic flowmeter uses the principle of Doppler effect to measure flow rate and flow rate. It calculates flow velocity and flow rate by measuring changes in the frequency of ultrasonic waves scattered in the liquid.

Measurement methods:
