SI-3402 Portable Ultrasonic Flow Meter

The SI-3402 portable ultrasonic flow meter, equipped with a mini printer, is used to measure the flow rate of liquids in closed pipelines. Its sensor is non-contact and adhesive, making installation and operation simple and easy.

It features an RS485 communication interface, allowing the upload of set parameters and measurement results to a host computer. It supports various input and output signals: Output signals: 4-20mA, pulse signal, relay signal; Input signals: 3 channels of 4-20mA.

Features

  • High-precision measurement: Linearity better than 0.5%, repeatability better than 0.2%, and measurement accuracy better than ±1%.
  • Non-contact measurement: Flow measurement is achieved by attaching a magnetic ultrasonic flow meter sensor to the outer wall of the pipe.
  • Large measurement range: Different sensor models can be selected to measure the flow rate of pipes with diameters from DN15 to DN6000mm.
  • Rechargeable power supply: Built-in high-capacity NiMH rechargeable battery supports continuous operation of the flow meter for over 20 hours.
  • Built-in printer: Enables instant screen printing and timed printing of up to 20 pre-set measurement results.
  • Uses an isolated power supply, improving anti-interference capability; Features fluid type identification based on fluid sound velocity;
  • Portable ultrasonic flow meters, when paired with clamp-on temperature sensors, can measure heat.

Portable ultrasonic flow meters feature two sensors that function as both transmitters and receivers. Users simply attach the two sensors to the outside of the pipe at a specific distance. The V-method (two-way sound path), W-method (four-way sound path), or Z-method (relatively mounted, where the sound wave passes directly through the pipe being measured) can be used.

The flow meter controls the two sensors to alternately receive and transmit ultrasonic waves, measuring the propagation time between them and calculating the time difference. This time difference is proportional to the fluid velocity.
