Power Industry

In power generation, high-temperature gas flow meters are primarily used for gas measurement and control in fuel systems, boiler systems, and various auxiliary thermal equipment.

For example, in fuel systems, they can monitor the gas distribution process, with medium temperatures typically ranging from 122°F to 482°F (50°C to 250°C).

In boilers and auxiliary systems, they can measure the flow rates of combustion air, flue gas, hot air, and circulating gases, with boiler flue gas and hot air temperatures typically ranging from 572°F to 1292°F (300°C to 700°C).

In gas-fired furnaces, the measured temperatures of relevant gases within the furnace are often between 392°F and 1472°F (200°C to 800°C).

For primary air measurement in power plant blast furnaces or large combustion devices, the medium temperature is generally between 302°F and 752°F (150°C to 400°C). Precise flow detection helps optimize combustion efficiency, maintain safe boiler operation, and reduce emissions.

Chemical Industry

In chemical production, high-temperature gas flow meters can be used for flue gas recirculation monitoring, gas metering in sampling systems, monitoring of induced draft fan gas delivery, and special gas flow control.

The temperature of flue gas recirculation and process tail gas in chemical plants is typically between 302°F and 932°F (150°C to 500°C); the temperature of high-temperature gases in sampling and delivery systems is generally between 212°F and 572°F (100°C to 300°C).

For example, in fertilizer plants, the temperature of the medium used for accurate measurement of process gases such as ammonia typically ranges from 122°F to 392°F (50°C to 200°C); in battery factories, the temperature of some drying, heat treatment, and protective gas measurements can reach 302°F to 752°F (150°C to 400°C).

Accurate flow data helps stabilize reaction conditions, improve raw material utilization, and support energy conservation optimization and environmental protection.

Metallurgical Industry

High-Temperature Gas Flow Meter Insertion Installation

The metallurgical industry is characterized by high temperatures, high dust levels, and continuous operation. High-temperature gas flow meters play a crucial role in processes such as steelmaking, iron smelting, coking, rolling, and heat treatment.

In steel mills, process gas temperatures typically range from 212°F to 752°F (100°C to 400°C); in ironmaking plants, blast furnace gas temperatures are generally measured at 302°F to 1112°F (150°C to 600°C).

In coking plants, coke oven gas temperatures are typically between 392°F and 932°F (200°C to 500°C).

In rolling mill heating furnaces, when measuring and regulating the flow rates of blast furnace gas, coke oven gas, and other fuel gases, the relevant medium temperatures can reach 572°F to 1472°F (300°C to 800°C); while in heat treatment and quenching furnaces, the temperatures of protective or combustion gases are typically between 482°F and 1652°F (250°C to 900°C). Precise gas flow control is crucial for thermal efficiency, product quality, and safe production.

Other Industries

Besides the industries mentioned above, high-temperature gas flow meters are widely used in compressed air management, pulverized coal combustion control, and cement and building materials.

In factory utility systems, compressed air flow measurement temperatures typically range from 104°F to 302°F (40°C to 150°C), and can be further increased under high-temperature compression conditions.

In pulverized coal combustion, the temperatures of the media involved in controlling the pulverized coal-to-gas ratio are generally between 392°F and 1292°F (200°C to 700°C).

In the cement industry, the temperatures of hot gas exhaust from vertical grinding mills and kiln tail gas are typically between 572°F and 1472°F (300°C to 800°C).

Precise control of these high-temperature gas flows can effectively improve combustion efficiency, optimize equipment operation, and reduce overall energy consumption.
