General Purpose Ultrasonic Level Meter installation method
In an open environment, the bracket installation method is generally used, and the instrument is fixed with its own screw ring. Or directly drill a 60mm diameter round hole on the top of the tank or the top of the lid. Put the meter in and tighten the coil from bottom to top. The installation must ensure that the probe surface of the instrument is level with the liquid level being measured.
As shown in the figure, the probe of the instrument emits sound waves that hit the liquid level and then reflect back to the probe. After receiving the signal, the probe calculates the time from sending to receiving the wave, and obtains the measurement distance H. The current liquid level L is obtained by subtracting the measuring clearance H from the instrument installation height TH.
The instrument range refers to the distance that the instrument can measure. The installation height TH should be less than
range.
The blind zone of the instrument refers to the area where the instrument cannot measure near the probe. The distance between the maximum liquid level and the probe should be greater than the blind zone. For example, if the blind zone is 0.5m, then the distance between the maximum liquid level and the probe must be greater than 0.5m.
For example: measuring range: 6 meters, blind zone: 0.45 meters, actual measured maximum liquid level: 0~5.55 meters.
Probe hair is a diffusion process, that is, it has a direction angle. Be careful when installing, otherwise it may hit the protrusions on the pool wall or the edge of the channel.
General Purpose Ultrasonic Level Meter Installation Guidelines
- The distance from the probe emission surface to the lowest liquid level should be smaller than the measuring range of the optional instrument.
- The distance from the probe emission surface to the highest liquid level should be greater than the blind area of the optional instrument.
- The emitting surface of the probe should be parallel to the liquid surface.
- The installation position of the probe should be as far away as possible from the locations directly below the inlet and outlet where the liquid level fluctuates violently.
- If the pool or tank wall is not smooth, the instrument installation location must be more than 0.5m away from the pool or tank wall.
- If the distance from the probe emission surface to the highest liquid level is less than the blind area of the optional instrument, an extension tube needs to be installed. The diameter of the extension tube is greater than 150mm, the length is 0.45m~0.60m, it should be installed vertically, the inner wall is smooth, and the opening on the tank should be larger than the extension tube. Tube inner diameter.
- If there is stirring in the tank and floating objects or foam on the surface of the medium, it is necessary to install a waveguide with a diameter of 150mm or more, with a smooth inner wall, and install it vertically to the bottom of the tank.
