The difference between dynamic torque and static torque
Dynamic torque: It is the torque displayed in real-time by the tool or equipment during the assembly process. It is the torque achieved by the bolt overcoming dynamic friction. The torque value pre-set by the general torque-fixed tool and tightening machine is also the dynamic torque value.
Static torque: After the tightened bolt stops, the maximum torque achieved by continuing to overcome static friction in the tightening direction is the static torque. Generally, the peak torque measured by the pointer-type manual wrench is the static torque.
In the actual assembly process, it is very important to distinguish between dynamic torque and static torque, which is related to the final assembly effect of the product. When considering the assembly process, many factories list dynamic torque and static torque separately, so as to test the final torque for different tools and departments.
Generally, in assembly factories, dynamic torque is used when assembling with power tools. The torque set on the torque-fixed tool and tightening machine is the dynamic torque. The torque measured when inspected with a pointer wrench is the static torque. Static torque is generally the basis for the quality inspection department to inspect the assembly quality.
