TS360 Sanitary Flow Switch

TS360 Sanitary Flow Switch

The TS360 Sanitary Flow Switch is a measuring instrument that provides real-time monitoring of fluid flow in pipelines, along with signal output and control capabilities. The product is constructed from sanitary-grade stainless steel and features a fully enclosed, laser-welded design. Its carefully engineered sanitary probe and collet connection allow for quick and easy disassembly, minimizing the risk of contamination during use and facilitating cleaning and maintenance. In field applications, the switch points can be set on-site based on actual changes in the flow velocity of the medium within the pipe, providing reliable assurance for customers’ process control.

Multiple LED indicators display the flow status and switch status in real time. It can be used to monitor fluid velocity within pipelines, detect flow interruptions, or prevent pumps from running dry. It is widely used in industries with high hygiene requirements, such as food, beverages, pharmaceuticals, hydropower, and industrial hydraulics.

From USD 250.00/pc. The final price depends on display type, process connection, output signal and temperature range.

FAQ

A flow switch is an automated control device that detects changes in the flow rate of a fluid (such as water, gas, or oil) within a pipeline and triggers a switch signal when a preset threshold is reached.

Flow switches can be installed inline or as insert-type devices to provide equipment protection and process control, preventing equipment from running dry or becoming damaged.

If any of the following situations occur, the flow switch may be faulty: the switch does not activate when flow is present, or it does not reset after flow stops; the switch repeatedly turns on and off when flow is stable; the indicator light does not illuminate, or the light’s status does not change when the flow rate changes.

Before determining that the switch is faulty, perform the following three checks:

  1. Use a multimeter to verify that the power supply is 24 VDC and that the wiring is correct.
  2. Clean the probe to remove surface scale and any entanglements.
  3. Reset the setpoint under normal flow conditions.

The response time for thermal flow switches is 1–13 seconds; a delay of a few seconds is normal. If you have performed all three checks and the switch still does not respond, you can generally conclude that the sensor is damaged and needs to be replaced.

Common types of flow switches include: orifice plate flow switches, thermal diffusion flow switches, electronic flow switches, and piston-type flow switches. For a detailed introduction, please refer to “Types of Flow Switches”.

Flow switches should be installed in a straight section of piping, away from the pump suction inlet and elbows. The orientation should ensure that the medium flows over the probe; avoid installing it upside down or using excessively long connectors.
